As a new limited trim level, the Atlantica boosts the GT trim to levels that promise to usher in a new era for Kia. It’s redefining the way drivers across the Vacaville area see sports sedans, and it’s offering a wonderful alternative to the higher priced sports fastbacks on the market today. 2019 Kia Stinger Atlantica Exterior
Based on the Stinger GT2 AWD platform, the Atlantica offers a sleek, deep chroma blue metallic finish with beefy 19-inch alloy wheels. It also sports a big Stinger logo instead of the usual Kia Badge. Its silhouette and lines are distinctly coupe-like, even if it does have four doors. It boasts an aerodynamic, unique look that speaks of grace and performance.
Performance
Speaking of performance, the engine in the Atlantica is a blistering 3.3-liter V-6 that generates 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. This mirrors the Stinger sedan model that’s currently touring the racing circuit at Nürburgiring in Germany. Features found on the standard Stinger, such as variable ratio steering, adaptive suspension, and a launch control system, may be expected on this model, but we are still awaiting more specific information.
Technology
Kia is known for its technology, and the Stinger Atlantica promises to provide everything you expect from the manufacturer. This includes a surround-view camera, wireless charging for Qi-enabled devices, heated seats both in front and the back, and the full Kia UVO infotainment system, driven by a large central touchscreen interface.
While full details aren’t available yet, it’s built on the GT2 platform, so we can expect much of the same technology features to be available in the Atlantica. This includes automatic wipers, a head-up display, premium audio (possibly from Harman Kardon), full smartphone app integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and satellite radio.
Safety features to help keep you secure on the road should be in full effect as well, including adaptive cruise control, front crash warning and mitigation, lane keeping, automatic high beams.
