When you’re looking for family entertainment, Vacaville has plenty to offer, with activities for kids of all ages, and some to bring out the inner child in the grown-ups. Here are some of the places to keep your family amused.
Stars Recreation Center
At Stars Recreation Center, you’ll find great entertainment your entire family. There are 40 bowling lanes with state-of-the-art graphic scorers and leagues for all ages and skill levels. Also available are Q-Zar laser tag, a large video arcade, billiards, pool, darts, and many more activities. Prices vary according to activities and times.
When you get hungry, the City Sports Bar & Grill, with its outdoor patio, offers a variety of great food. You may prefer to choose fresh-baked pizza from the full-service Pizza d’Action. Watch out for special events and live entertainment. Birthday party packages are also available for that special occasion.
Scandia Family Fun Center
Located in Fairfield, around 14 miles from Vacaville, Scandia offers two challenging miniature golf courses with a variety of obstacles to challenge your skill. They are set amongst beautiful gardens and feature streams, ponds, and fountains as well as a Scandinavian castle.
Other attractions include the Lil’ Indy Raceway, bumper boats, laser tag, batting cages, and a kid’s playground. An arcade features more than 200 games, from classics right up to the latest video technology. The Scandia Cafe serves a range of meals, snacks, ices, and drinks. There are a variety of pricing options and height restrictions apply to some rides.
Vacaville Ice Sports
Whatever the weather outside, it’s always cool in Vacaville’s family-friendly ice-skating rink. You can join in with the public skating sessions, or try ice hockey or figure skating. Public skating costs $12 per adult and $10 per child under 12, plus $3 skate rental. Lessons are available and Vacaville Ice Sports can organize birthday parties and group events.
Brenden Vacaville 16 Movie Theater
Movies provide great family entertainment and, with 16 screens, the Brenden Theater will be showing a movie to suit you. The auditoriums feature leather reclining chairs, state-of-the-art premium digital sound systems, and Dolby Digital 3-D to provide you with a fully immersive experience.
The bar and concierge service offers a bar menu and a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, and there are three Express Serve concession stands serving drinks and snacks. Admission prices vary according to the days and times.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Just a half hour drive from Vacaville is Six Flags in Vallejo, which features fun for all the family. The more adventurous can head for the thrill rides, parents and children can ride together on the family rides, while the smallest ones have their own kid’s rides. Minimum height restrictions apply to some rides.
The park offers opportunities to encounter animals, including dolphins, seals, sea lions, giraffes, and parrots. You have a great choice of food from snacks to full-service restaurants. A variety of ticket options are available.
Whatever your family enjoys, you don’t have to travel far from Vacaville, California, to find fun and excitement.
