Larry’s Produce is one of the biggest fresh produce stands in Solano County and offers everything from citrus fruits and berries to corn and winter squash. They also bring plenty of family fun by offering a pumpkin patch and hay rides in the fall and a large selection of Christmas trees in the winter.

R. Kelley Farms

This Sacramento farm is only a 35-minute drive from Vacaville and open yearly from July to October. Hours run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Here at R. Kelley Farms, you’ll find more than enough to satisfy your fresh produce cravings. Pick your favorites from an inventory packed with items such as purple hull peas, speckled butter beans, tomatoes, red potatoes, and sweet melons. Papini Family Orchards and Farm

In the mood for picking cherries? Papini Family Orchards and Farm in Brentwood is just an hour’s drive for Vacaville residents. Here you’ll find rows of orchards blooming with fresh and fragrant cherries, including varieties such as Utah Giants, Rainiers, and Sweethearts. Buckets for picking are provided, so stop by and get your fill of these lovely fruits. There are no extra fees for parking or admission, and hours range from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekends during the months of May and June.

Sun Mountain Farm

Situated an hour and a half away in the Apple Hill region of Camino, California, Sun Mountain Farm is the place to hit for seasonal varieties of apples, blueberries, and pumpkins. You’ll find apples such as Gala and Granny Smith as well as blueberries like Early Blue and Spartan. And how about seasonal pumpkins ideal for your autumn festivities? You’ll find different types you and the kids will have fun looking for together.
