Celebrate the End of Summer With These 3 Sacramento EventsThe end of summer is around the corner, and there is no shortage of events taking place in and around Sacramento. If you’re looking for something fun to do before fall arrives, don’t miss these three Sacramento events.

Kick-Off Concert Farm to Fork Uncorked 2018

On Aug. 31, head down to Clarksburg and the Old Sugar Mill for the kick-off concert for the Farm to Fork Uncorked 2018. Sacramento’s beloved dance band, Big Crush, will be performing, and you’ll see a number of vehicles on display from the 1960s through today.

Your favorite wineries will be pouring wine all night while food trucks serve up farm-to-fork bites. Confirmed food trucks include Rita’s Italian Ice, Che Buono, Gyro King, and Paquitas.

The kick-off event runs from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., and tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door (for adults) and include a souvenir glass of sparkling wine. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids along: children ages 3 to 17 are $10 and 2 and under are free. The event runs every weekend in September and features a number of local wineries and other vendors.

California Craft Beer Summit

With California’s booming craft beer scene, you won’t want to miss the three-day California Craft Beer Summit (hosted by California Craft Brewers Association) that takes place Sept. 6-8. The first two days of the event are primarily Tap Talks and educational sessions, with a separately ticketed beer dinner the first night. Saturday, Sept. 8, is the main festival with California brewers pouring their beers. The list of confirmed California brewers is on the festival website.

One-day summit passes for Sept. 6 or 7 are $99 each, a dual-day pass is $189, a three-day weekend pass can be yours for $239, or you can purchase a VIP pass for $299. In addition to all the weekend events, the VIP pass grants you access to the Friday Night Brewers Reception. If you only want to attend the festival, you can purchase an admission ticket for $60, which includes a commemorative tasting glass and unlimited pours for four hours. Designated Driver tickets are also available for $10 and include festival entry and complimentary soda.

Sacramento Donut Festival

There is an entire festival devoted to donuts, and it happens to be in Sacramento! This year’s event takes place on Sept. 9 from noon to 3 p.m. Ticket holders are treated to a number of donut and coffee samples as well as other donut-related treats from area shops and restaurants. Judges will be on hand to determine who has the best donut. You can purchase additional donuts and enjoy the scenery at the California Automobile Museum.

Tickets for the 2018 Sacramento Donut Festival are $26 for general admission, and children five and under are free.

These are just three of the exciting events that are coming up this summer in Sacramento. There’s plenty of music, food, drink, and educational events to keep you busy every weekend through September.
